After hours & hours of application authoring, collecting documents, approvals, certifications, sketching, measuring and compiling tables, I eventually got the building permit application out the door. The previous owner of the tower told me it was virtually impossible to get a permit for a construction etched with the cultural heritage mark – he hadn’t succeeded. Grateful for his input and thoughts around the matter, I am pleased to announce that the permit arrived this week, and with just minor alterations to my initial plan, the permit is in hand and construction may begin.

Big thanks to Marita at Samhällsbyggnad Bergslagen for the professional and courteous handling of this case; big up also to architect Engström at Klara Arkitektbyrå, I really enjoyed bouncing ideas off of you! Man, this is such a milestone… and relief. Buckle up. Tower on.
